Rebecca is a passionate and creative therapist with 20 years’ experience helping adults and children to resolve mental and emotional challenges, using solution focused approaches such as hypnotherapy, EFT tapping and NLP to create effective, measurable, lasting change.

Rebecca aims to teach beneficial skills to help people to not only navigate but to also understand their own emotions and mind, so they can flourish in a complex, neurotypical world.

Rebecca is deeply impassioned about improving access to the right mental health support for children and young people, and specialises in helping neurodiverse children, young people and their carers who are struggling with emotional and mental health difficulties, particularly in relation to education.

She is skilled in therapeutic parenting approaches and low demand parenting strategies and has extensive knowledge and both personal and professional experience of working with domestic abuse, trauma, PTSD, ADHD and autistic spectrum conditions, including pathological demand avoidance PDA.

As a parent, she understands the complexities of parenting an emotionally struggling child, and as a therapist, she aims to support and coach parents alongside their children.

Rebecca offers tailored specialised therapeutic coaching for parents and carers of young people, for themselves, or to provide proxy support for children who may be unable or unwilling to access direct support.

She has personal experience of assisting loved ones through serious mental illness and dementia and can offer personalised therapeutic and coaching support to relatives and caregivers who need help dealing with the complex feelings that this can bring.

Rebecca received her own diagnosis of Inattentive ADHD in 2019, which provided an explanation for the difficulties she had experienced in her own life. Rebecca became aware that she was different and struggled both socially and mentally when confronted with the demands and challenges of undiagnosed ADHD in high school. This formed the basis of her lifelong interest in psychology, and her drive to understand and help others, ultimately leading her to a career in therapy.

Rebecca has worked in many different fields of the social spectrum; most recently as a therapist for children’s services, working with children and young people within social care.

Rebecca has also worked within the Judicial system at a women’s prison, at a college as a Further Education tutor, and provided crisis support as a worker on a national suicide prevention helpline.

Rebecca has created and facilitated training and workshops for a diverse range of organisations, including domestic violence services, anti-trafficking charities, suicide prevention services, autism support groups, women’s groups and community interest companies.

Alongside her therapy career, Rebecca is a professional artist, creating everything from abstract art to soap, candles and jewellery – she also runs her own successful facepainting business, supporting her need for creativity and autonomy.

Art and creativity can often be beneficial for emotional and mental well-being, and Rebecca uses many facets of art within her professional work.

Rebecca has confidence in people’s ability to make changes, acquire positive tools and move forwards, while in control of their lives. She has repeatedly seen the incredible power of the human mind to conquer pain, overcome childhood trauma and heal emotional wounds. She believes strongly that we already possess the resources we need to create the life we want and is invested in helping all her clients live fulfilling, happy, healthy lives.
