Karen is a dedicated Neurodiversity and Wellbeing Coach and Life Coach, specialising in empowering individuals with ADHD, dyslexia and autism. She also supports women who want to thrive through menopause, as well as clients looking to improve and manage anxiety.
With a compassionate and holistic coaching approach, Karen brings a deep, natural empathy that resonates with every client she works with. She personalises each session to address the unique needs and priorities of the individual, blending her professional expertise with her personal experiences.
Karen’s journey to understanding her clients’ struggles began with her own challenges in school. For years, she couldn’t understand why learning felt so difficult until she became a parent. When her son’s teacher highlighted the struggles he was facing it was revealed that he had Dyslexia. The teacher pointed out that it was very likely that Karen’s same struggles were almost due to her also having Dyslexia. It was a defining moment as suddenly everything made sense.
Since then, Karen has dedicated her life to supporting others, helping them harness the strengths of being neurodivergent while developing strategies to manage the associated challenges. She brings a wealth of personal insight, having navigated ADHD and Dyslexia herself, while raising two children who also live with ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia.
Karen’s background as a music teacher with a special focus on supporting neurodivergent students further enriches her coaching and mentoring style. Clients often express that it’s the first time anyone has truly understood them. Witnessing the transformation of clients in just a few sessions is what Karen loves most about her work.
Karen is the author of Dyslexia and Success: The Winning Formulas, a groundbreaking book that is in over 150 schools across the U.K. and in all Young Offenders Institutes nationwide. Through her research, she shares the success stories of high-profile role models such as Sir Richard Branson, Kelly Hoppen, Sir Tom Jones and James Martin. In the book, she highlights how these individuals have overcome challenges and focused on their strengths to achieve remarkable success. With 5-star reviews from SEND specialists and organisations like the British Dyslexia Association and Dyslexia Scotland, Karen’s work has made a significant impact in promoting neurodiversity and success.
Drawing on her book’s extensive research, her coaching training, and her NHS Mental Health and Wellbeing Coaching experience, Karen offers a unique and transformative Coaching and Mentoring service.
Passionate about fostering a positive, inclusive environment, Karen advocates for neurodivergent individuals and is dedicated to empowering them to thrive in all aspects of life including mentally, emotionally, and socially.
