CHARLOTTE

ADHD PSYCHOTHERAPIST & COUNSELLOR
TRAUMA THERAPIST
WEIGHT MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Charlotte sees clients face-to-face in Manchester M16.
She also sees clients online.

DIAGNOSED ADHD

Charlotte offers a warm and down to earth, conversational style of therapy and prides herself on building trusting therapeutic relationships with all her clients.  She is an integrative therapist meaning she can use the most appropriate counselling skills to help each individual client.

Charlotte’s sessions aim to bring greater self-awareness and with it, the possibilities of change and transformation.

She believes everybody has the capacity to heal, to have personal insights, to feel differently about themselves, their relationships and the world.

Charlotte qualified as a counsellor ten years ago and during this time she has counselled both privately and within the NHS.  She has a wealth of experience working with many different client groups.

She spent 6 years running an NHS weight management service and has in-depth experience around motivation and addictive behaviour.  She continues to work with those struggling with gambling addiction.

Before this she worked in a specialist trauma service and supported clients with PTSD.  She has continued to help veterans with PTSD.

Charlotte has both professional and personal experience of neurodiversity.  She has various family members who are ADHD, autistic and dyslexic.

As a therapist, she has worked with many ADHD and autistic clients, both diagnosed and waiting for a diagnosis.

Charlotte offers these clients the knowledge that she completely understands their experience of the world is different from neurotypicals.

For ADHD clients specifically, this often feels more like coaching, with the time being used to explore strategies to help manage a life that can feel like it’s tipping precariously into chaos.

Charlotte has supported clients through diagnosis and has helped neurodiverse clients to advocate their needs into the workplace through setting up forums such as ‘neuro diverse networks’, which help build industry awareness and also fostered peer support.

She is passionate about helping all ADHD clients and is also a qualified counselling supervisor.
